It is a usually city travel competition of a year and Audi Sport’s home round. “That’s because we always suffer returning there – not slightest due to a special atmosphere,” says Dieter Gass, Head of DTM during Audi Sport. “Consequently, not carrying won in such a prolonged time during a Norisring is all a some-more painful. The many ‘Audians’ roving to Nuremberg each year merit finally saying an Audi feat again – even though, as always, it’s going to be intensely formidable again.”

The many new delight of an Audi motorist on a 2.3-kilometer city travel circuit between a Dutzendteich lake and a soccer lane dates behind 14 years. In 2002, a Frenchman Laurent Aiello in a compress Audi TT managed to prevent Mercedes-Benz motorist Bernd Schneider in a home hook and to win a race.

“It continues to be a competition I’d tremendously adore to win,” says Mattias Ekström. “I even saw a mottled dwindle in initial place once, though wasn’t authorised to keep a trophy. This year, I’ll try to take a large prize home once more. However, it’s going to be a tighten competition again.”

Ekström has driven many clever races before during Nuremberg though another Audi motorist is “King of a Norisring:” Jamie Green has distinguished 4 victories in Nuremberg to date and has mounted a lectern there as good following his switch to Audi. That is not a usually reason because Green loves a city travel circuit: “When it comes to riveting racing and retaining overtaking maneuvers a Norisring is a best competition lane of all,” says a Briton. “That was even a box in a days before DRS wing flaps and now it’s even some-more so. Racing on this circuit is essentially about braking, delayed turns and pushing with low downforce in ways we don’t routinely see in a DTM. Because there are usually straights and intensely delayed corners we can get closer to a automobile in front of we during a Norisring. As a result, a duels are closer and some-more stirring than they are on any other DTM competition track. The atmosphere with a many fans creates for crow bumps – quite of march for us Audi drivers.”
