Oshawa, Ontario (Friday, June 21, 2013) – The all-new 4.3L EcoTec3 V-6 powering the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra will be the most capable standard V-6 in any full-size pickup truck – leading the segment in city fuel efficiency and helping customers save money through a host of fuel-saving technologies.
Silverado and Sierra 4×4 models achieve fuel consumption ratings of 12.6 L/100 km city, the best of any 4×4 full-size pickup. The highway fuel consumption is rated at a highly competitive: 9.0 L/100km for 4×4 versions, and 8.4 L/100km for 2WD models.
The 4.3L V-6 also help Silverado and Sierra offer the highest-available payload rating of 2,108 pounds and the highest available towing rating of 7,200 pounds.
