8 reasons to get revved up about the 2016 Toronto AutoShow

With the 2016 Toronto AutoShow about to pull into Toronto, Ford’s ready to put on a show for our loyal owners and performance vehicle lovers alike!

1. Ford’s exciting Canadian debuts

Want to be one of the first Canadians to get a look at two incredible new Ford vehicles (do we even have to ask)? Boasting an all-new 10-speed transmission and serious off-road agility, the 2017 F-150 Raptor SuperCrew cannot be missed. Also on display are the 2017 Ford Fusion Platinum, Sport and Energi sedans, which feature a beautiful design and helpful technology. Ford has plenty of wow on display.

Thanks to Ford, Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey is on-hand to get things started. Taking place on Friday, February 12, the AutoShow’s opening ceremony is the perfect time to drop by and see Mr. Casey co-host the event along with Jim Hartford, FordCanada’s Vice President, Marketing.

3. We’re going BIG

One of the biggest display areas at the show? Check. Lots of Ford peeps on hand to answer your questions? Absolutely. A seriously impressive look at what we do best? Come on down and see for yourself!

4. It’s all about the performance (zone, that is!)

And by that we mean Ford’s Performance Zone, where you can kick it into high gear by checking out six of our must-see performance vehicles. Spend some time up close and personal with Ford GT, F-150 Raptor, Shelby 350GTR, Focus RS, Focus ST and Fiesta ST. Strap yourself in for this one!

To celebrate our partnership with Toronto’s on-court finest, Ford invites you to test your basketball skills at our shooting game. You can also get in on the photobomb action with a digitally-enhanced pic of yourself cruising with Lowry or DeRozan in our Focus ST. Add that to four arcade-style racing simulators, and you know that Ford’s bringing the action!

6. The Indy 500 is 100

What with our historical track record at races like Le Mans, Ford knows a thing or two about racing—exactly why we’re super excited about this exhibit, open throughout the show, that looks back over a century of the world’s most famous automobile race.

Wish you could get behind the wheel of the Ford GT? Then you won’t want to miss the Forza race simulators, featuring Ford performance vehicles, including the Ford GT. Hop in and feel the adrenaline rush.

 8. The Cobra Jet, like its predecessors, is a drag race-ready performance machine that has been tuned for the track. And with only 50 being produced in 2016, you’ll definitely want to get your eyes on this limited-edition beauty.
