Audi driving experience kicks off with driver training in Neuburg in April

“We are pleased to offer our customers and Audi fans an extraordinary driver training experience at our own facility for the first time.” In Neuburg an der Donau, we have built a premium-class driving facility – with a handling course, a dynamics area and off-road track,” explains Klaus Demel, Head of Audi driving experience. The driving experience center covers 47 hectares and will also be the new home of Audi Sport, which is scheduled to move into the Motorsport Competence Center from August. “Fans then have the chance to experience the spirit of Audi Sport close up and in person,” adds Demel.

From now on, interested customers can sign up for courses offered by Audi driving experience. The diverse courses it offers range from compact training to the “R8 experience.” Starting at the end of May, ambitious drivers will experience the limits of driving physics here and learn how to drive a car safely in extreme driving situations. During the kick-off phase in April, basic courses and safety training will already be held for Audi employees from Technical Development.

The Audi driving experience center in Neuburg includes a vehicle dynamics area covering 30,000 square meters (322,917 square feet) and a handling course up to 3.4 kilometers long (2.11 miles). The off-road course also provides the opportunity to experience driving over gravel and logs as well as negotiating side slopes. The eight-meter-high gradient hill is a notable highlight. In addition to the familiar day-long training courses, those interested can also book half-day driver training courses. Upon request, customers can arrange individual training courses with a “personal coach” for individuals, groups or as a company incentive. The following top models are used for driver training: Audi S4 Avant*, Audi A8 4.0 TFSI quattro* and the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro*. The Audi brand experience – a four-hour tour with the Audi R8* through the Altmühltal Valley natural park – will begin directly at the Audi driving experience center in Neuburg from this summer.

The main customer building at the driving experience center also provides conference rooms with the most modern conference and presentation technology for diverse events. Customers can also treat themselves to many culinary delights in the center’s own restaurant. From the terrace, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire site and watch the cars driving on the various tracks.

Audi driving experience has stood for driving dynamics, passion and fascination for over three decades – the purest of driving experiences. The comprehensive 2014 summer season program covers a broad range of driver training courses offered by Audi training experience (advanced training, intensive training and executive driver training), not to mention the Audi sportscar experience, which offers customers an intensive driving experience on international and well-known race tracks.
