Audi extends commitment in golf

In Germany, the DGL is the sporting platform for team golf in five divisions. The mode featuring five match days and the subsequent Final Four of the top four teams of 1. Bundesliga (1st division – level one) is the centerpiece of the format. “We have been watching the rapid development of the DGL from the beginning and are delighted about jointly driving this development forward in the future,” says Johannes Polgar, Event and Sports Marketing of AUDI AG. The opening event will be followed by four additional match days and the finale on August 21 and 22, 2016. Audi will provide an Audi Q7 to the victorious golf club for one year.

The organization of the Audi quattro Cup, now entering its 26th season, will remain unchanged. To date, more than a million amateur golfers have participated in the tournaments held as “foursomes with selected drive” at the invitation of regional Audi partners. The German finale will be played in Bad Saarow from August 29 to September 2 and the winners from all nations will be meeting for the world finale in Barcelona (Spain) from October 6 to 10. Since 1995, the Audi Ladies Cup being played in 120 golf clubs has been the counterpart for female amateurs.

In 2016, Audi will again be the premium partner of Hartl Resort in Bad Griesbach and giving its name to the local “Audi Golf Course.” For more than a decade, Audi has been presenting the Süddeutsche Zeitung Business Golf Cup.
