Audi presents FC Bayern München in the United States

Supported by Audi, FC Bayern München and its new coach, Carlo Ancelotti, will prepare for the kickoff to the 2016/17 Bundesliga season in the United States. As part of the Audi Summer Tour, the squad from Munich will be meeting with the two Italian top-flight clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan, as well as the Spanish record champions Real Madrid. For Audi and FC Bayern, this marks the continuation of a journey, started in 2012, of being present in strategic markets such as India, China and the United States, and delivering world-class football to fans in metropolises like Delhi (2012), Beijing (2012 und 2015), New York (2014) and Shanghai (2015).

This year, FC Bayern will initially travel to Chicago, on July 25. In the third-largest city of the United States, the Munich squad will be meeting with AC Milan on July 27 as part of the Audi Football Summit. The match will be held on tradition-steeped Soldier Field, which is home to the Chicago Bears NFL team, and followed by three days of practice after which FC Bayern will travel to Charlotte. In the biggest city of the U.S. state of North Carolina, the squad will be pitted against Inter Milan on July 30. Immediately following the match, the Audi Summer Tour will visit New York where, on August 3, FC Bayern München and Real Madrid will be meeting for the Audi Football Summit at the impressive MetLife Stadium. FC Bayern will do its practice units at Red Bull Arena, home to the New York Red Bulls. Since last year, Audi has been a partner of the Major League Soccer (MLS) club and, since 2014, the league’s official sponsor.

In the United States, Audi is looking back on the most successful year in its history. In 2015, Audi of America surpassed 200,000 deliveries for the first time, marking an increase by 11.1 percent to 202,202 automobiles delivered. As previously in 2014, Audi, in 2015, again grew twice as much as the total U.S. market. In addition, U.S. deliveries increased for the sixth consecutive year. In 2016, in addition to the A3 e-tron as the brand’s first plug-in-hybrid, both the new Q7 and the new A4, will go on sale at U.S. dealerships.
