Audi’s golf commitment in 2014

In the 24th season of the Audi quattro Cup, international entrants are playing for the opportunity to enter the world finale that will be held in Dubai this year from December 7 to 11. Last year, players from 52 nations competed in 965 qualification tournaments for the chance to become a finalist. Since the inaugural year of 1991, far more than a million golfers have participated in the Cup at Audi’s invitation. In 2014, the entrants are again competing in qualification tournaments as ‘foursomes with selected drive’ from April to September. From September 1 to 5, they will be meeting in the German finale at Golfresort Berlin Scharmützelsee.

The partnership with the German Golf Association (DGV) that has existed since 2008 will be continued. At least until 2015, the premium brand from Ingolstadt will be making several cars available to the officials of the association, which has a membership of more than 600,000, as its official vehicle partner. In addition, the four rings are featured on the DGV membership cards. All accredited players of the DGV are entitled to use the www.mygolf.de internet offering. Audi is the presenting sponsor of the website that contains a wealth of knowledge centered on golf – from tournament schedules and contacts through to an ordering facility for golf articles.

Two other tournament series are held under the symbol of the four rings as well. Regional Audi partners invite female amateurs to the Audi Ladies Cup. In this tournament series, which has been held since 1995, the ladies take to the green at least six times this year at about 120 German golf clubs. For the tenth time in succession, Audi supports the Süddeutsche Zeitung Business Golf Cup. The season will start at the Wittelsbacher Golfclub Neuburg-Rohrenfeld on May 27. A total of 15 one-day tournaments offer an ideal opportunity to intensify business relationships and to establish new contacts. Additional information is available at www.sz-golf.de.

A spectacular highlight awaits golfers off the normal courses. Twelve holes have to be tackled year by year along the legendary downhill ski course in Kitzbühel in the ‘Streif Attack,’ which Audi will again be accompanying as the main sponsor in 2014.
