Awards for Audi in March and April

Audi is “Most Innovative Premium Brand”
Audi is a winner of three “Automotive Innovations Awards.” The award is presented by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) research institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG (PwC). Audi won the “Most Innovative Premium Brand” main prize, and the brand with the four rings also took home awards for its innovations in the categories “Connected Car” and “Vehicle Concepts/Body.”

Double win for Audi – “Best Cars Mexico”
Audi scored two victories in the Mexican version of “Best Cars.” The Audi A1 was the winner in the “Best Subcompact” category, and the Audi A3 Sedan* came out on top as “Best Compact Sedan.” The award was presented by “Automovil Panamericano” magazine, which belongs to the publisher Motor Presse Stuttgart. First place for Audi A6 in “Best Cars Czech Republic”
The Audi A6 was the winner in the “Upper Mid-Size” category at the “Best Cars 2016” awards ceremony in the Czech Republic. The A6 was chosen in a readers’ choice poll conducted by the Czech publications “auto motor a sport” and “AUTO7.” (March 15, 2016)

Success for Audi in the 2016 ADAC breakdown statistics
Audi impressed with low breakdown numbers in all classes, as confirmed by the ADAC automobile club’s  vehicle breakdown statistics. The statistics are based on analyzed breakdown data from more than 2.4 million responses by ADAC motorist assistance services last year. The decisive factor is the breakdown statistic showing the number of breakdowns recorded for a model per model year (April 25, 2016)

Marcus 2016: Three victories for Audi in Austria
The Austrian mobility club ÖAMTC honored the Audi TT Roadster*, the Audi Q7 and the Audi A4 with the “Marcus Award.” The TT Roadster and the A4 were the winners in their classes in the “Safety Equipment” category. The Audi Q7 took home the award in the “Economy” category for having the lowest monthly costs in its class. (March 11, 2016)

Outstanding security: Audi top-rated in Thatcham test
In testing conducted by Thatcham Research, the Audi R8 Spyder*, the A5 Coupé*, the Audi Q5 and the Audi Q2 achieved the outstanding result of an E-rating (exceeds the security requirement). Last year the Audi R8, the Audi A4 and the Audi A4 Avant successfully completed the tests. Other models from the Audi portfolio will be evaluated at the end of the year. Thatcham Research, a British automotive research center for automobile insurers, subjected the models to a range of testing scenarios to assess mechanical and electronic anti-theft elements. Audi TT is “Innovation of the Year” in Korea
The Korean newspaper “Korea JoongAng Daily” chose the Audi TT as “Innovation of the Year.” The publication presented the honor as part of the “Car of the Year Awards.” A total of 51 models from 27 brands vied for the title. (March 9, 2016)

“2016 Company Car of the Year”: Wins for Audi in four categories
In the selection process for the “2016 Company Car of the Year” awards, three Audi models were recognized as the top performers in their categories. The Audi A3 Sportback 1.6 TDI* won in the overall ranking for the compact class, the Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI ultra S tronic* was chosen as the best model in the mid-size class and the Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TDI ultra S tronic* as the overall winner in the upper mid-size class. In the brand rankings, Audi was also a winner in the category “Good Service for Fleet Customers.”

A total of 82 models in 12 categories were put through their paces by 250 fleet managers in Europe’s biggest practical comparative test. The evaluation criteria were the comfort, driving characteristics and economy of the models tested. The “Company Car of the Year” awards are presented by the specialist magazine “Firmenauto” and the technical services organization DEKRA. (April 13, 2016)

“Red Dot Award 2016”: Three prizes for Audi
Audi scored three victories at this year’s Red Dot Awards. The brand with the four rings earned the “Winner” title for the design of the Audi A4, the Audi R8 and the Audi Q7.The Red Dot jury presents the coveted quality seal to products that stand out by virtue of their design excellence. “Fleet News Award” for the Audi A4
“Fleet News”, the British magazine for fleet operators, selected the Audi A4 as the best premium automobile of 2016. The jury had especially high praise for the design of the Audi A4, but also for its wide array of specifications and options, and the car’s outstanding value retention. (March 15, 2016)
