Silverstone. BMW Team MTEK has finished in sixth place in the
GTE Pro category in a third turn of a FIA World Endurance
Championship (WEC), a Six Hours of Silverstone (GBR), with a #81
BMW M8 GTE piloted by Martin Tomczyk (GER) and Nicky Catsburg (NED).

The sister car, a #82 BMW M8 GTE of António Félix Da Costa (POR)
and Augusto Farfus (BRA), late due to a automatic emanate following
4 hours of racing.

Reactions to a Six Hours of Silverstone:

Ernest Knoors (Team Principal, BMW Team MTEK):

“In a end, a outcome doesn’t demeanour spectacular, though a group gave a
really good opening both on a lane and in a garage. We had the
slightest time spent in a pits of all a GTE Pro category cars and it’s
usually a second six-hour WEC race. The engineers, mechanics and
drivers all did their pursuit intensely good and we leave Silverstone really optimistic.”

Martin Tomczyk (#81 BMW M8 GTE):

“It was a formidable weekend. We suspicion we would be some-more competitive
though we pushed as tough as we could and sixth position is as good as we
could get. Our automobile didn’t have any issues via a whole race
weekend and a group achieved perfectly. We will keep pulling in the
same approach for a rest of a deteriorate and a formula will come.”

Nick Catsburg (#81 BMW M8 GTE):

“I consider we can indeed be gratified with sixth since it is a best
we could do. We had a good set-up, a automobile didn’t skip a beat, and
a group was illusory from start to finish. We can’t ask for more
than that.”

António Félix da Costa (#82 BMW M8 GTE):

“As a team, we’re training each day here in a WEC. Personally, I’m
also training some-more with each continuation racing army that we complete.
Together we are removing stronger, that is because it is a contrition we had an
emanate here in Silverstone, though we will lapse a a WEC Six Hours of
Fuji prepared to try again.”

Augusto Farfus (#82 BMW M8 GTE):

“It was a large training bend for us this weekend; we have a new car,
that is new to this lane and during a championship in that we have only
had one prior six-hour race. That said, a change of a automobile felt
good and a tyre plan would have played out good towards a end
of a race, so we have lots of positives to take away.”
