Dipl.-Ing. Michael Breme

Michael Breme was born in Essen in 1967.

He studied materials sciences at RWTH Aachen University, graduating in engineering (Diplom‑Ingenieur) in 1996.

Breme began his professional career at AUDI AG as a planner for the areas Substructure/Structure Planning Body and Foreign Plants. Four years later, he became a project manager in Overall Planning before being appointed Assistant to the Head of Planning in 2002.

Two years after that, Breme moved to the Toolmaking division of AUDI AG. There, he acquired initial management experience in his role as Head of Operations Management in Plant/Equipment Construction, before assuming responsibility for the Plant/Equipment Construction section at Toolmaking in 2006.

In 2008, he became Site Coordinator of Toolmaking in Ingolstadt and Deputy Head of the Audi Toolmaking division.

Michael Breme was in charge of the Audi Toolmaking division from 2009 onwards, and had overall responsibility for toolmaking at the sites in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm, Győr (Hungary), Audi Tooling Barcelona (ATB) (Martorell, Spain), and Audi Tooling China (ATC) (Beijing, China). In addition, he was in charge of the Equipment and Metal Forming Technology competence center as of 2015. That is where the activities of Toolmaking and the press shops are coordinated so that expertise and valuable synergies can be optimally utilized.

Since April 2016, Michael Breme has been Head of Production and Plant Planning at AUDI AG. In this position, he is responsible for the production‑related planning of all vehicle projects of the Audi brand and for the planning and implementation of plant structures at all Audi sites worldwide.
