Dr. Stefano Domenicali

Dr. Stefano Domenicali was born on May 11, 1965, in Imola, Italy.

In 1991, after having completed his studies of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Bologna, he started his career in the Financial Department of Ferrari S.p.A. in Maranello, Italy. From 1993 to 1995 he was Head of Business Planning and Controlling in the Racing Department. At the same time he became International Race Director at Mugello Circuit, a race track that belongs to Ferrari.

The following two years Domenicali was responsible for the Sponsoring relations in the Racing Department of Ferrari.

He then assumed the position of Sporting Director of Formula One from 1998 to 2004. In the following years he was Head of Direzione Sportiva F1 and Staff until 2007.

After leading the Racing Department Team from 2008 to 2014, Domenicali left Ferrari S.p.A. to become Vice President New Business Initiatives of AUDI AG in Ingolstadt. During his time at the Racing Department he was also Representative of Ferrari S.p.A. in the FIA World Motor Sport Council.

Since 2015 Domenicali is President of the FIA Single-Seater Commission.

In 2002 Domenicali has been honored with the Order of Merit of Italy, called “Ufficiale Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana”.

Since March 15, 2016 he is the Chairman of the Board of Management of Automobili Lamborghini.
