Fiat official vehicle supplier during Italy’s EU Presidency

Today in Milan, at the first informal meeting of the EU Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs, Fiat-Chrysler debuted the vehicle fleet which, as sponsor, it has provided to the Italian government for use during its six-month Presidency of the European Council. ​​

 

​​The Group was chosen as official supplier in a tender process conducted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As supplier, it will be responsible for providing, free of charge, all transportation for national and European delegations associated with the Italian Presidency.

 

Managed by Leasys, Fiat-Chrysler’s vehicle lease company, the fleet consists of 61 vehicles: 40 Fiat 500Ls and 1 Fiat Panda (all natural gas hybrids) and 20 Fiat Ducato mini-buses with MultiJet (variable geometry Common Rail direct injection) turbo-diesel engines. All of the vehicles are gray and display Italy’s EU Presidency logo. ​​

 

Fiat-Chrysler has a track record of participation in major Italian and international events of this kind. Recent sponsorship activities include: the 9th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Paris in 2008, the G8 summit in L’Aquila in 2009, the 150th anniversary of Italian unification in 2011 and, beginning last year, Official Global Partner of Expo 2015.
