GM Canada is #1 For Retail Sales in Canada for 2018 – Again!

OSHAWA, Ontario (January 3, 2019) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 288,310 total sales for the full year of 2018 including 214,668 retail sales and 73,642 fleet sales, again making GM Canada the market leader for retail sales in Canada for 2018. Total sales for December 2018 were 13,855 vehicles including 10,691 retail and 3,164 fleet deliveries.
“We are very pleased to once again be Canada’s retail sales leader in 2018 led by especially strong sales performance in our pickup and crossover segments”, said GM Canada president and managing director Travis Hester. “The past year saw significant market swings in customer purchases from sedans toward crossovers, SUVs and pickups – areas where GM has one of the strongest, newest product lineups in the industry, with several important new entries coming in 2019.”
