Oshawa, Ontario (October 1, 2014) —   Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 24,555 vehicles in September 2014, an increase of 34 per cent from September 2013. Total GM Canada sales are up more than 5 per cent for the 2014 calendar year.

“Consumer demand for our Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars, SUVs and trucks continues to grow as we head into the Fall,” says John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing.  “All four brands, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac, have booked increased sales in 2014 calendar year to date.  As we look to the balance of the year, we will welcome the all new Cadillac ATS Coupe to our Cadillac line up and the all new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size trucks will round out our pickup truck lineup.”

Starting today, General Motors of Canada customers can enjoy the benefits of the new Sign Drive lease program on our best-selling 2014 and 2015 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars, SUVs and trucks.  Sign Drive lessees who accept delivery of an eligible Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle, will receive the benefit of $0 First Month Payment, $0 due at signing and $0 Security Deposit, all of this is accomplished through GM Canada’s captive financing company, GM Financial.

September 2014 Sales Highlights

  • Total GM Canada sales are up 5.2 per cent for the 2014 calendar year
    • Chevrolet sales are up 2 per cent CYTD
    • Buick sales are up 32 per cent CYTD
    • GMC sales are up 6 per cent CYTD
    • Cadillac sales are up 15 per cent CYTD
  • Chevrolet sales were up 31 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Cruze (up 22 per cent), Trax (up 92 per cent), Equinox (up 12 per cent), Traverse (up 76 per cent), and North American Truck of the Year Silverado (up 43 per cent)
  • Buick sales more than doubled for the month driven by sales of the Verano (up 121 per cent), Encore (up 81 per cent) and Enclave (up 69 per cent)
  • In its best September ever, GMC sales were up 32 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Terrain (up 37 per cent), Acadia (up 31 per cent), and Sierra (up 30 per cent)
  • Cadillac Escalade sales were up 122 per cent for the month

Total GM Canada sales were up 34 per cent in September 2014.
