The 2019 Honda Odyssey and refreshed 2019 Honda Pilot have both been recognized by Parents magazine as among the “10 Best Family Cars of 2019.” The winners will appear in the May 2019 issue of Parents magazine.
The Honda Pilot received extensive updates for 2019, including revised front and rear styling, standard Honda Sensing®, an updated Display Audio system, and Honda’s CabinTalk™ in-vehicle public address system. The Pilot features room for up to five car seats or boosters as tested by Parents magazine. The 2019 Odyssey also offers Honda Sensing® and a host of innovative family-friendly, technologies including CabinTalk™, CabinWatch™ day-or-night camera system, the smartphone-based Cabin Control™ app with Social Playlist, and versatile Magic Slide second-row seats, along with room for up to six car seats or boosters as tested by Parents magazine.
Both the 2019 Pilot and 2019 Odyssey also earn a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration and a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), including a ‘SUPERIOR’ rating for front crash prevention when equipped with Honda Sensing® safety and driver-assistive technologies, now standard on all 2019 Passports and EX and higher trims of the 2019 Odyssey.
In determining the award, Parents editors chose 20 minivans and SUVs with top government safety ratings and which they determined provided good value. Car seat installation, ownership costs such as fuel economy and maintenance, technology features, as well as overall vehicle attributes such as driving dynamics, comfort, price were all considered.
