On June 2, 2015 Ford Mustangs from around Ontario corralled together for Mosport Lapping day at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Organized by Ryan Bellamy and the Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association, the event was a chance for Mustang owners to run their cars around Canada’s most famous Grand Prix road course track. Purely for fun, the event was not competitive and really allowed owners to fully enjoy their vehicles in a safe controlled manner.

The revving of the engines, squealing of tires, and congratulatory hollers let those around know the ponies were in town. Over 60 vehicles lapped the track split into three groups: slow, intermediates and fast.

One particular Ford, built in 1979 for the IMSA Trans AM series, was fully restored and was able to reach speeds in excess of 180mph on the track. Are you a proud Mustang owner?
