Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned Program Wins Awards from Vincentric and IntelliChoice

– Hyundai’s industry-leading Certified Pre-Owned program has consistently been recognized as a top program by many well-respected third parties, and recent honors continue that tradition.

Two Hyundai vehicles, the Elantra and Veloster have been named Best CPO Value in America Award winners from Vincentric, the automotive research firm specializing in automotive cost of ownership. The Elantra won in both the Compact segment and Compact Hatchback segment, while the Veloster won in the Sports Car segment. This is the third win in a row for Veloster and the second in a row for Elantra.

Hyundai also stood out from the competition by being awarded the Best CPO program in the popular category in the 20th annual Certified Pre-Owned Car awards by IntelliChoice, a MotorTrend Group subsidiary.

The Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards are based on eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. The winners are chosen by measuring which vehicles had lower–than-expected ownership costs based on their market segments and prices.

IntelliChoice evaluates manufacturers’ certified pre-owned vehicle programs in nine areas: warranty coverage, inspection criteria, title verification, roadside assistance, special financing, return and exchange policies, dealer compliance, used cost of ownership, and market penetration. This year a total of 24 manufacturer-backed programs were evaluated and segmented into two different categories: Premium and Popular, with 12 brands in each.
