HYUNDAI NAMED 2016 TOP NON-LUXURY CPO PROGRAM BY AUTOTRADER

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 20, 2016 – Hyundai was named the Best Non-Luxury Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Program by Autotrader for 2016. Hyundai secured the top spot among all non-luxury brands for having the best warranty coverage, transferability and low deductible.

“We think Hyundai offers the best CPO program among non-luxury automakers,” said Brian Moody, editor in chief, Autotrader. “The main reason is its excellent warranty, which is really just a continuation of the brand’s outstanding new-car warranty: 5 years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper limited coverage and 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage from the car’s original sale date. We also like the fact that Hyundai’s CPO warranty is fully transferable to subsequent owners in a private sale and offers a relatively low deductible of $50 — lower than some rivals and about the same as most others.”

For 2016, Autotrader broke up the best CPO list by luxury and non-luxury automakers. The most important criteria in deciding the top program is the length of the powertrain warranty. Other factors included bumper-to-bumper limited warranty length, warranty transferability and deductible amount.

“Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned vehicles not only come with the best warranty coverage, but they are also inspected by our trained technicians to meet the highest quality and to be in like-new condition,” said Derrick Hatami, vice president, national sales, Hyundai Motor America. “At Hyundai, we strive to make things better for our customers and with our CPO program we are doing just that. Our owners are receiving more than $2,000 in added value, and peace of mind with fewer problems down the road through our CPO program.”

Hyundai’s CPO program includes:

  • A 10-Year/100,000-Mile CPO Powertrain Limited Warranty plus the remainder of the 5-Year/60,000-Mile new vehicle limited warranty from original in-service date and zero (0) miles. $50 deductible per repair visit applies.
  • Comprehensive 150-Point quality assurance inspection for Hyundai vehicles, with exceptions that Sonata Hybrid has a 154-point inspection and Equus has a166-point inspection.
  • 10-Year/Unlimited Mileage Roadside Assistance from original in-service date and zero (0) miles.
  • Rental Car Travel Interruption Reimbursement
  • No-Charge, 3-Month “All Access” Trial of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio
  • Complimentary CARFAX® Vehicle History Report
