FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 1, 2015 – Drivers cruising along the 405 freeway in Orange County saw a new look to Hyundai Motor America’s headquarters in Fountain Valley, Calif., this week. To promote its newly inked sponsorship deal with the NFL, Hyundai used projection mapping technology to display the Hyundai and NFL logos over a football field background on the west side of its headquarters. Hyundai’s headquarters faces a section of the 405 freeway that is one of the busiest in the state, with more than 377,000 vehicle trips daily, according to Caltrans.

The 250-foot-wide by 60-foot-high image is displayed utilizing 10 18k Lumen projectors and will run on the building all evening from Monday to Wednesday, June 29 to July 1.

Hyundai Motor America moved into its Fountain Valley campus more than 20 years ago, shortly after it began selling vehicles in the United States. Hyundai demolished its old building in 2012 and completely re-imagined the facility, which today is more than double the size of its predecessor, to reflect 500,000 square feet. The two-year construction project, valued at about $200 million, was a commitment to Hyundai’s long-term future, allowing for company growth and investment in the local economy.

Advantage International helped negotiate the NFL deal and coordinated the projection mapping for Hyundai.
