HYUNDAI SPONSORS THE SECOND ANNUAL WOMEN IN AUTOMOTIVE CONFERENCE

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., June 30, 2016 – Hyundai Motor America continues its commitment to developing female talent in the automotive industry by supporting the second annual Women in Automotive Conference. Drawing upon top female success stories to aid in recruiting, retaining and developing female employees and leaders in the automotive industry, the Women in Automotive Conference aims to empower female employees and leaders. Dr. Suzanne Mendoza Feeney, Senior Manager of Customer Communications Strategy, at Hyundai Motor America delivered a keynote address, titled “Women@Hyundai: We Make Things Better,” on Monday, June 27.

“This conference allows Hyundai to share its take on diversity, inclusion and making things better for women in the auto industry,” said Dr. Feeney. “Hearing the success stories of women leaders and employees is a great opportunity for industry professionals to connect while having thought-provoking discussions on recruiting and retaining women in the automotive landscape.”

Dr. Feeney is also a member of the Hyundai Diversity Council and chairs the Women@Hyundai Employee Resource Group, which champions inclusive environments that empower female customers, employees, suppliers and dealers.

The three-day conference took place at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida on June 26-28. The event featured a recruiting fair and a variety of speakers, breakout sessions, workshops and booth displays – all centered on the goal of accelerating the role of women in the automotive industry.
