IRVINE, Calif., May 25, 2011 – Kia Motors America’s (KMA) lineup of stylish and fun-to-drive vehicles continues to receive praise from consumers and industry observers for offering a compelling combination of cutting-edge technology, world-class design and outstanding fuel efficiency at a tremendous value. The latest accolade comes from the editors at Cars.com who placed the 2011 Kia Forte 5-door and Soul urban passenger vehicle on their recent list of the “Top 10 Urban Cars.” Both vehicles were identified as great choices for city dwellers due to their practical size, low starting price, excellent visibility and tight turning radius.

“Kia Motors’ design-led transformation has delivered a stylish lineup of vehicles that turn heads as they roll through urban city streets, and vehicles such as the Soul and Forte 5-door that offer cutting-edge technology and impressive fuel economy at a tremendous value are dramatically raising consumer perception and awareness of the Kia brand,” said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing communications, KMA. “Being the only brand to place two vehicles on the Cars.com ‘Top 10 Urban Cars’ list underscores the importance of flexible, versatile, and fuel efficient vehicles for on-the-go urban dwellers and other discriminating car buyers that expect more from their vehicles.”

Before selecting the “Top 10 Urban Cars,” editors at Cars.com surveyed more than 50 vehicles for their urban-friendly characteristics, including vehicle length, turning circles, driving visibility, parking aids, availability of folding mirrors and the miles per gallon rating for city driving. All vehicles selected are designed to help make city living easier.
