Mazda Canada reports sales for March 2015

— CX-5 rings in the spring season with best sales month ever —

RICHMOND HILL, ON, April 1, 2015 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for March 2015 today totaling 7,030, which is an increase of 8% compared to March 2014.

Sales in March were led by the compact Mazda3 with 3,700 sold. The CX-5 was the second-best selling model for Mazda in March, and recorded its best sales month ever with 2,065 units sold. The CX-5 has now enjoyed eight consecutive months of record year-over-year sales.

“The CX-5 is proving with regularly increasing sales that consumers are looking for sharply styled crossovers that can fit into any lifestyle, and provide great real-world fuel economy and dynamic handling,” said Clark Colby, Director of Sales, Mazda Canada. “With the new CX-3 coming to showrooms soon, consumers will have another attractive and right-sized choice in a growing segment that’s sure to follow in the footsteps of the successful CX-5.”

In March, 86% of all Mazda vehicles sold were equipped with the fuel-efficient SKYACTIV Technology. Mazda is moving ever closer to completing a fully SKYACTIV line-up, which will be bolstered late spring with the introduction of an all-new subcompact crossover, the CX-3, and then this coming summer with the fourth generation of the iconic MX-5 roadster.
