Mazda Canada reports sales for October 2014

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Nov. 3, 2014 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for October 2014 today totaling 6,074, which is an increase of 5% compared to October 2013 and represents the best October sales month since 2008. Total year-to-date sales of 62,995 are up by 3% versus the same period in 2013. 

Sales in October were led by the compact Mazda3 with 3,169 sold. Year to date, the Mazda3 sales have increased by 6% compared to 2013. The CX-5 was the second-best selling model for Mazda in October, and enjoyed its best October on record with a jump of 68% versus October 2013. Year-to-date the CX-5 is up by 14% versus 2013. In October, 89% of all Mazda vehicles sold were equipped with the fuel-efficient SKYACTIV Technology.

Mazda recently announced that its all-new compact crossover SUV, named the Mazda CX-3, will make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show, running from November 21 through November 30, 2014. The CX-3 will join the automaker’s growing crossover SUV lineup, which already includes the sporty CX-5 and three-row CX-9 models.

“With winter quickly approaching, Canadians will want to look for a vehicle with the confidence of all-wheel drive, and we have several fun-to-drive SUV options to offer. The fuel-efficient CX-5 and family-friendly CX-9 offer great value, and next year we’ll have another option for families and consumers with an active lifestyle,” said David Klan, Senior Director, Sales, Marketing Regional Operations.
