MAZDA REPORTS JUNE SALES

– Best-Ever June for Mazda CX-9 Crossover SUV –

IRVINE, Calif. (July 1, 2011) – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported June sales of 19,307 vehicles, up 5.9 percent versus June of 2010. Sales through the first half of the year are up 5.8 percent versus last year with 122,379 vehicles sold.

Key June sales notes:

– Mazda CX-9 recorded its best-ever June with sales of 2,429 vehicles, up 14.8 percent versus last year. Year-to-date sales for the CX-9 are up 16.4 percent.

– The Mazda CX-7 celebrated its best June since 2007 with 2,631 sales, up 24.9 percent versus last year. Year-to-date sales for the CX-7 are up 21.0 percent.

– The Mazda5 multi-activity vehicle reported its best June since 2006 with 1,659 vehicles sold, up 56.7 percent versus last June. Mazda5’s year-to-date sales are up 26.7 percent.

Rounding out the North American market, Mazda Canada, Inc. (MCI) sold 7,010 vehicles, down 2.9 percent versus last June. MCI’s year-to-date sales of 34,816 vehicles are down 14.8 percent versus last year. Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported its best-ever June with sales of 2,197 vehicles, accounting for an 18.2 percent increase versus last June. MMdM’s year-to-date sales are up 18.6 percent with 13,099 vehicles sold.
