NISSAN ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT FOR SALES OPERATIONS EUROPE

Nissan has announced today that Guillaume Cartier has been promoted to the position of Vice President for Sales Operations, Europe.

Guillaume, who is currently Managing Director, Nissan Nordic Europe, Oy, will be based in Rolle, Switzerland and report to Paul Willcox who was promoted to Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Europe in July.

Effective immediately, Guillaume replaces Bernard Loire who was recently appointed Vice President Infiniti Business Unit for Africa, Middle East,India and Europe.

Guillaume joined Nissan France in 1995 where he worked in the After Sales Marketing division. He rose to the position of Sales manager in 2001 and Sales Operation Director in 2005 when he oversaw the restructuring of the domestic dealer network.

In 2006 he joined Nissan Europe SAS to become the Chief Marketing Manager responsible for Small Sports Cars for Europe, before heading up Nissan’s Marketing operation in the UK – a post held until May 2010 before leaving to take up his current position in the Nordic region.

Guillaume, 42, said: “Nissan in Europe is enjoying a tremendously successful period. We are increasing sales, increasing market share and launching a range of exiting and innovative products to the market.

“Last year Nissan achieved its highest ever sales total within the region – my challenge is to build on that momentum and achieve significant further growth in the years ahead.”

Guillaume’s successor will be announced in due course.
