NEW YORK – Nissan today announced Canadian pricing for the all-new 2016 Nissan Maxima, which made its world debut at the New York International Auto Show. The eighth-generation of Nissan’s iconic “4-Door Sports Car” is scheduled to arrive at Nissan dealers nationwide beginning this summer.

The all-new Maxima, a virtual clone of the stunning Nissan Sport Sedan Concept, is lower, longer and lighter than the previous generation design. Helping Maxima push the performance envelope in its segment is a completely revised 300-horsepower 3.5-litre VQ-series V6 engine and new performance-oriented Xtronic transmission. The comprehensive re-engineering effort also resulted in a 15 per cent increase in highway fuel economy. The new Maxima also features a premium bespoke crafted interior, anchored by a command central driver’s cockpit, that rivals luxury vehicles.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) for the 2016 Nissan Maxima:

Maxima’s next-generation technology features include standard NissanConnect with navigation and available 11-speaker Bose® premium audio system, NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM, and Around View® Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD).

The 2016 Maxima also offers an extensive range of safety, security and driving aids, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW). These features are available on Maxima SL, SR and Platinum grades. Maxima Platinum includes an available Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system, which monitors each individual driver’s steering patterns** and helps alert the driver when signs of drowsy or inattentive driving is detected.
