CHICAGO – The forecast the next 12 days calls for snow. This is nothing unusual for Chicago in February – except this forecast is for inside McCormick Place, specifically in a corner of the Nissan display during the upcoming Chicago Auto Show. The special “snow dome” is where show attendees will find a pair of custom Nissan vehicles, a “snowmobile” created from a Nissan 370Z Roadster and a “winterized” Nissan Armada Snow Patrol.

With white carpeting, snow flurries every 15 minutes or so, adventure-ready Nissan vehicles and maybe even a pop-up hot chocolate stand on weekends, Nissan’s Winter Wonderland should be a popular attraction.

“Every year we try to bring some unique winter show cars and trucks to Chicago, which is the nation’s most-attended consumer auto show. This year we’ve outdone ourselves with the vehicles and the show space itself,” said Dan Bedore, director, Nissan Division U.S. Communications, Nissan North America, Inc.

The Nissan 370Zki  – pronounced “370-Ski” – transforms a stock 370Z Roadster to a 332-horsepower snowmobile with ski tracks where the front wheels should be and massive snow tracks in place of the rear wheels. To fit the new snowshoes, the 370Z Roadster was lifted three inches. A special body wrap graphic and yellow-tinted “ski goggle” headlights complete the package. Prior to arrival at the Chicago Auto Show, the 370Zki was trail-tested on the slopes of Wyoming.

The Nissan Armada Snow Patrol takes Nissan’s flagship SUV to new heights – literally – with its three-inch suspension lift, extreme off-road tires, massive front bumper, light bar and roof rack, returning Armada to its roots as an adventure-ready off-roader. Armada has been on a winning streak since the second-generation design was introduced for the 2017 year – with sales last year increasing 154 percent over 2016.

Modifications to the Armada Snow Patrol, along with the suspension lift, include: 35-inch-tall Pro Comp MT2 maximum traction extreme off-road tires mounted on 20×9-inch Cognito Series 61 wheels, a beefy front off-road bumper with 12,000-pound capacity winch, roof-mounted light bar, running boards and rock sliders, roof rack, premium leather-wrapped front seats and Armada Snow Patrol graphic body wrap.

Rounding out the Winter Wonderland theme is a snowplow-equipped TITAN XD Single Cab celebrating the addition of the new HD Front GAWR Package that allows TITAN trucks to be up-fitted for a plow when the lake effect snow piles up.

The Nissan 370Zki, Armada Snow Patrol and snowplow-equipped TITAN will be on public display in Nissan’s “Winter Wonderland” display throughout the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, which runs Feb. 10-19 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

The 370Zki and Armada Snow Patrol are concept vehicles and not available for sale. For more information on the 370Zki, Armada Snow Patrol and the complete lineup of 2018 Nissan vehicles, please visit www.nissannews.com.
