Nissan: Nissan Group reports February 2016 Canadian sales

 

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 9,011 units, an increase of 13.8 per cent over last year and the best February in the company’s history. This sales achievement marks 31 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

Nissan brand sales increased 13.3 per cent with 8,174 units sold, setting a new February sales record.

Nissan Division February highlights:

  • Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada – the Nissan Rogue crossover – set a February record at 2,033 – an increase of 7.5 per cent, marking 27 consecutive months of record sales.
  • The Murano crossover set a new February sales record at 790 units, an increase of 41.8 per cent.
  • Sales of the Pathfinder sport utility vehicle increased 18.8 per cent to 834 units, a February sales record.
  • Sales of the NV200 compact cargo van set a February record at 130 up 71.1 per cent.
  • Sales of the Sentra compact sedan increased 19.2 per cent to 1,277.
  • Sales of the Altima mid-size sedan increased 21.3 per cent to 786 units.
  • Nissan Maxima sport sedan sales climbed to 161 units, up 123.6 per cent.

Infiniti February highlights:

  • Infiniti reported sales of 837, an increase of 18.6 per cent versus a year earlier. This marks the best February for Infiniti in Canada.
  • Infiniti crossovers and sport utility vehicles continued to be in demand this month with the QX80 full-size luxury SUV setting a February sales record of 71 units, an increase of 47.9 per cent.
  • The QX50 luxury crossover set a February sales record with 175 units sold, an increase of 24.1 per cent.
