Nissan: Nissan Group reports record April 2018 Canadian sales

Mississauga, Ont. – Today, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales of 12,198 units for April 2018, an increase of 7.4 per cent and an April record.

The Nissan Division also set an April sales record with 11,457 units sold, an increase of 10.9 per cent year-over-year. INFINITI sold 741 vehicles.

Nissan Division highlights:

  • After its best ever month of sales in March, the all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF electric vehicle saw its best April ever, with 408 units sold, an increase of 187.3 per cent over April 2017.
  • The Nissan Rogue crossover, Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada, continues to see strong sales, recording its best April ever with 3,821 vehicles sold, up 8.7 per cent year-over-year.
  • The Nissan Qashqai compact crossover holds its position as the second best-selling model in the Nissan lineup with 1,451 vehicles sold.
  • The Armada flagship sport utility vehicle also had a strong month of sales, recording a best April ever with 114 units sold, an increase of 39.0 per cent from last year.

INFINITI highlights:

  • The QX60 premium crossover sedan, retained its top spot as INFINITI’s best-selling vehicle with 234 units sold in April 2018.
  • The updated QX80 full-size, luxury sport utility vehicle recorded a strong month of sales with 94 units sold, up 42.4 per cent year-over-year.
  • Sales of the QX70 performance crossover are up 107.1 per cent over April 2017 with 58 vehicles sold last month.
