Nissan: Nissan Group Reports Record January 2018 Canadian Sales

Mississauga, Ont. – Today, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales of 8,836 units for January 2018, an increase of 6.3 per cent and a best January ever.

The Nissan and INFINITI Divisions both set January sales records with 8,017 and 819 units sold, respectively, representing increases of 5.3 and 16.8 per cent year-over-year.

Nissan Division highlights:

  • The Nissan Rogue crossover, Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada, continues to see strong sales with 2,381 units sold.
  • The Nissan Qashqai compact crossover is now the second best-selling model in the Nissan lineup, and continues its strong momentum, with 1069 units sold.
  • The Nissan Sentra compact sedan is up by 12.2% year-over-year with 904 units sold.
  • Sales of the TITAN full-size pickup truck were strong with 471 units sold, up 77.1 per cent for a best January ever.
  • The Frontier mid-size truck recorded 370 units sold, an increase of 124.2 per cent and a January sales record.

INFINITI highlights:

  • The 7-passenger QX60 luxury crossover continues to be INFINITI’s best-seller with 258 units sold, up 15.7 per cent.
  • The QX80 luxury sport utility vehicle recorded 113 units sold, up 8.7 per cent and a best January ever.
  • The Q50 sedan also had a strong month with 208 units sold, an increase of 150.6 per cent.
