Mississauga, Ont. – Today, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales of 14,180 units for May 2018, an increase of 1.7 per cent and a May record.
The Nissan Division also set a May sales record with 13,236 units sold, an increase of 3.2 per cent year-over-year. The INFINITI Division sold 944 vehicles.
Nissan Division highlights:
- Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada, the Rogue crossover, continues to see strong sales, with 4,145 vehicles sold in May.
- The Nissan Qashqai compact crossover celebrated its first full year of sales with its best month ever, selling 1,908 units in May and holding its position as the second best-selling model in the Nissan lineup.
- The all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF electric vehicle set a sales record in May with 906 units sold. After only four months of sales, it achieved its best calendar year ever in May with a total of 1,916 units sold. With this result, the LEAF beat its previous annual sales record, set in 2016, with 1,375 units sold over the full 12 months.
- Also recording its best May to date, the TITAN full-size pickup truck sold 588 units, an increase of 52.3 per cent over 2017.
- The Armada full-size sport utility vehicle also had a strong month of sales, recording a best May ever with 133 units sold, an increase of 11.8 per cent from last year.
INFINITI highlights:
- The QX60 luxury crossover retained its top spot as INFINITI’s best-selling vehicle with 333 units sold last month.
- The refreshed QX80 full-size luxury sport utility vehicle’s sales increased 65.1 per cent to 71 units.
- Sales of the QX70 performance crossover are up 345.2 per cent over May 2017 with 138 vehicles sold last month.
