Nissan: Nissan Production, Sales and Export Results for Dec 2013 and Calendar Year 2013

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. currently announced a production, sales and trade total for Dec 2013 and calendar year 2013.

1. Production
December
Nissan’s tellurian prolongation in Dec increasing 15.4% year-on-year to 396,211 units.

Production in Japan was down 5.8% year-on-year to 82,544 units. This is especially due to decreased volume of Rogue. As formerly announced, models for sale in a U.S are now constructed during Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee plant.

Production outward of Japan increasing 22.7% year-on-year to 313,667 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of December.

In a U.S., prolongation increasing 16.0% year-on-year to 57,629 units, especially due to aloft direct for a new Rogue, Nissan LEAF and Sentra.

In Mexico, prolongation decreased 4.4% year-on-year to 38,574 units.

In a U.K., prolongation decreased 12.5% year-on-year to 27,706 units, as consumers expected attainment of a new Qashqai.

In Spain, prolongation increasing 0.4% year-on-year to 8,177 units.

In China, prolongation was 130,580 units, a clever year-on-year boost of 120.3%. This was especially due to increasing direct for a Sylphy series, Tiida, Qashqai and Teana, and is an all-time record for a month of December.

Production in other regions decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 51,001 units.

Production in Japan decreased 16.0% year-on-year to 964,546 units.

Overseas prolongation increasing 6.6% year-on-year to 3,986,378 units, reaching a record high for a calendar year.

In a U.S., prolongation increasing 22.9% year-on-year to 792,135 units.

In Mexico, prolongation decreased 0.5% year-on-year to 680,278 units.

In a U.K., prolongation decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 501,745 units.

In Spain, prolongation decreased 7.9% year-on-year to 131,862 units.

In China, prolongation was adult 18.0% year-on-year to 1,247,249 units, achieving an all-time calendar year record. There has been 5 true months of prolongation increases given August.

Production in other regions increasing 5.9% year-on-year to 633,109 units.

December
Global sales increasing 15.0% year-on-year to 459,618 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of December.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sole 46,193 units in Japan, adult 18.3% year-on-year.

In Japan, car registrations in Dec increasing 1.0% year-on-year to 31,416 units.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increasing 86.0% year-on-year to 14,777 units, especially due to clever sales of Nissan DAYZ, imprinting an all-time record for a month of December.

Sales outward of Japan increasing 14.6% year-on-year to 413,425 units.

Sales in a U.S. increasing 10.5% year-on-year to 109,758 units, especially due to aloft direct for a new Rogue and Sentra, imprinting an all-time record for a month of December.

Sales in Mexico increasing 1.5% year-on-year to 28,748 units, imprinting an all-time sales record for a singular month. Nissan has been a sales personality in Mexico for 55 uninterrupted months.

In Europe, sales increasing 8.8% year-on-year to 55,941 units, especially due to increasing sales in Russia.

In China, sales increasing 70.4% year-on-year to 134,155 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Sylphy series, Teana and Qashqai, imprinting an all-time record for a singular month.

Sales in other regions decreased 9.9% year-on-year to 77,817 units.

Calendar Year 2013
Global sales in 2013 increasing 3.3% year-on-year to 5,102,979 units, environment an all-time calendar year record.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sole 678,824 units in Japan, adult 2.9% year-on-year.

In Japan, Nissan’s car registrations in 2013 decreased 2.7% year-on-year to 492,895 units.

Domestic sales of mini-vehicles were adult 21.3% on a prior year to 185,929 units, reaching a record high for a calendar year.

Sales outward of Japan increasing 3.4% year-on-year to 4,424,155 units, imprinting an all-time calendar year record.

In a U.S., sales increasing 9.4% year-on-year to 1,248,421 units, imprinting an all-time calendar year record.

In Mexico, sales increasing 7.6% year-on-year to 264,463 units, imprinting an all-time calendar year record.

In Europe, sales decreased 4.0% year-on-year to 651,476 units.

In China, sales were adult 17.2% year-on-year to 1,266,167 units, achieving an all-time calendar year record. There has been 6 true months of sales increases given July.

Nissan’s exports in Dec decreased 31.0% year-on-year to 45,386 units.
