Nissan: Nissan production, sales and export results for July 2016

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for July 2016.

1. Production
Nissan’s global production in July increased 7.2 percent year-on-year to 403,517 units, the sixth consecutive month of increase.

Production in Japan decreased 2.9 percent year-on-year to 80,242 units.

Production outside Japan increased 10.0 percent year-on-year to 323,275 units, the fifteenth consecutive month of increase and a record for the month of July.

In the U.S., production increased 11.8 percent year-on-year to 64,034 units, a record for the month of July.

In Mexico, production increased 1.3 percent year-on-year to 59,360 units, a record for the month of July.

In the U.K., production increased 39.6 percent year-on-year to 36,108 units.

In Spain, production increased 31.2 percent year-on-year to 11,520 units.

In China, production increased 5.6 percent year-on-year to 84,846 units.

2. Sales
Global sales decreased 0.3 percent year-on-year to 431,593 units.

Japan:
Sales including mini-vehicles decreased 21.5 percent year-on-year to 40,079 units.

  • Vehicle registrations decreased 16.2 percent year-on-year to 29,569 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 33.4 percent year-on-year to 10,510 units.

Sales outside Japan increased 2.5 percent year-on-year to 391,514 units, the second consecutive month of increase and a record for the month of July.

In the U.S., sales increased 1.2 percent year-on-year to 132,475 units, a record high for the month of July.

In Mexico, sales increased 16.4 percent year-on-year to 33,387 units, a record high for the month of July.

In Europe, sales increased 1.0 percent year-on-year to 57,353 units, a record high for the month of July.

In China, sales increased 8.9 percent year-on-year to 91,740 units.

3. Exports from Japan
Exports in July increased 13.0 percent year-on-year to 54,291 units, the third consecutive month of increase.
