Nissan: Nissan Production, Sales and Export Results for May 2013

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. currently announced a production, sales and trade total for May 2013.

1. Production
Nissan’s tellurian prolongation in May decreased 11.4% year-on-year to 385,390 units.

Sales outward of Japan increasing 2.1% year-on-year to 368,226 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of May.

Sales in a U.S. increasing 24.7% year-on-year to 114,457 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Altima, Sentra, Pathfinder, Rogue and Nissan LEAF, imprinting an all-time record for a month of May.

In Europe, sales declined 0.9% year-on-year to 51,891 units.

In China, sales increasing 2.0% year-on-year to 102,990 units, especially due to increasing direct for a new Teana and Sylphy.

Sales in other regions decreased 9.9% year-on-year to 68,617 units.

3. Japan Exports
Nissan’s exports in May decreased 39.9% year-on-year to 28,783 units.

Exports to North America decreased 30.9% year-on-year to 19,463 units.

Exports to Europe decreased 78.7% year-on-year to 1,288 units.
