Nissan: Nissan production, sales and trade formula for May 2015

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. currently announced a production, sales and trade total for May 2015.

1. Production
Nissan’s tellurian prolongation in May increasing 1.9% year-on-year to 434,332 units.

Production in Japan increasing 8.0% year-on-year to 66,978 units, especially due to increasing direct for a X-Trail.

Production outward Japan increasing 0.9% year-on-year to 367,354 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of May.

In a U.S., prolongation increasing 2.7% year-on-year to 83,672 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of May, especially due to increasing direct for a Murano.

In Mexico, prolongation decreased 5.2% year-on-year to 70,298 units.

In a U.K., prolongation decreased 6.6% year-on-year to 38,513 units.

In Spain, prolongation decreased 34.7% year-on-year to 10,681 units.

In China, prolongation declined 5.6% year-on-year to 100,927 units.

Production in other regions was adult 43.5% year-on-year to 63,263 units, especially due to an boost in prolongation volume of a Rogue (X-Trail in Japan), that is constructed in Korea for a North America market, and a NP300 Navara constructed in Thailand.

2. Sales
Global sales in May decreased 0.1% year-on-year to 442,408 units.

Sales in Japan, including mini-vehicles, declined 10.3% year-on-year to 38,880 units.

Vehicle registrations in Japan were down 3.8% year-on-year to 25,521 units.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan decreased 20.6% year-on-year to 13,359 units.

Sales outward Japan were adult 1.0% year-on-year to 403,528 units, imprinting an all-time sales record for a month of May.

In a U.S., sales decreased 0.8% year-on-year to 134,779 units.

In Mexico, sales increasing 20.6% year-on-year to 26,687 units, imprinting an all-time sales record for a month of May, especially due to aloft sales volume of a X-Trail and a new NP300 Frontier. Nissan has been a sales personality in Mexico for 72 uninterrupted months.

In Europe, sales increasing 5.7% year-on-year to 60,198 units, imprinting an all-time sales record for a month of May, especially due to increasing direct for a X-Trail and a Pulsar.

In China, sales were adult 0.1% year-on-year to 102,545 units, especially due to sales of a X-Trail and a Sylphy series.

Sales in other regions decreased 2.2% year-on-year to 66,199 units.

3. Japan Exports
Nissan’s exports in May increasing 7.2% year-on-year to 34,567 units.
