Nissan: Nissan production, sales and trade formula for May 2016

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. currently announced a production, sales and trade total for May 2016.

1. Production
Nissan’s tellurian prolongation in May increasing 0.4 percent year-on-year to 435,938 units, a fourth uninterrupted month of boost and a record for a month of May.

Production in Japan decreased 2.5 percent year-on-year to 65,309 units.

Production outward Japan increasing 0.9 percent year-on-year to 370,629 units, a thirteenth uninterrupted month of boost and a record for a month of May.

In a U.S., prolongation decreased 3.9 percent year-on-year to 80,439 units.

In Mexico, prolongation decreased 0.8 percent year-on-year to 69,721 units.

In a U.K., prolongation increasing 12.1 percent year-on-year to 43,175 units.

In Spain, prolongation increasing 11.2 percent year-on-year to 11,877 units.

In China, prolongation decreased 0.8 percent year-on-year to 100,122 units.

Production in other regions increasing 3.2 percent year-on-year to 65,295 units.

2. Sales
Global sales decreased 2.4 percent year-on-year to 431,716 units.

Japan:
Sales including mini-vehicles decreased 26.2 percent year-on-year to 28,678 units.

  • Vehicle registrations increasing 0.2 percent year-on-year to 25,573 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 76.8 percent year-on-year to 3,105 units.

Sales outward Japan decreased 0.1 percent year-on-year to 403,038 units.

In a U.S., sales decreased 1.0 percent year-on-year to 133,496 units.

In Mexico, sales increasing 8.0 percent year-on-year to 28,819 units, a record for a month of May.

In Europe, sales decreased 1.1 percent year-on-year to 59,524 units.

In China, sales increasing 3.4 percent year-on-year to 106,074 units.

Sales in other regions decreased 6.7 percent year-on-year to 61,813 units.

3. Exports from Japan
Exports in May increasing 19.5 percent year-on-year to 41,321 units, a initial boost in 6 months.
