Nissan: Nissan Releases Production, Sales and Export Results for April, 2013

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. currently announced a production, sales and trade total for Apr 2013.
1. Production
Nissan’s tellurian prolongation in Apr increasing 7.3% year-on-year to 396,676 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of April.
Production in Japan was down 12.7% year-on-year to 74,888 units.
Production outward of Japan increasing 13.4% year-on-year to 321,788 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of April.
In a U.S., prolongation increasing 17.0% year-on-year to 63,738 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Altima and Pathfinder.
In Mexico, prolongation increasing 40.8% year-on-year to 58,256 units, especially due to increasing direct for newcomer vehicles including a Versa (model name is Latio in Japan).
In a U.K., prolongation was adult 26.6% year-on-year to 34,655 units.
In Spain, prolongation increasing 10.1% year-on-year to 12,731 units.
In China, prolongation increasing 7.1% year-on-year to 106,797 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Sylphy and Venucia R50, that began internal prolongation in Jun and Aug 2012, respectively.
Production in other regions increasing 22.0% year-on-year to 45,611 units, especially due to increasing direct in Thailand for a Sylphy (which began internal prolongation in Aug 2012) and Pulsar (which began internal prolongation in Jan 2013), in further to increasing direct in India.
2. Sales
Global sales increasing 0.2% year-on-year to 364,336 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of April.
Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sole 37,538 units in Japan, a decrease of 4.8% year-on-year.
In Japan, car registrations in Apr increasing 13.0% year-on-year to 29,810 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Note and NV350 Caravan.
Mini-vehicle sales in Japan decreased 40.7% year-on-year to 7,728 units.
Sales outward of Japan increasing 0.8% year-on-year to 326,798 units, imprinting an all-time record for a month of April.
Sales in a U.S. increasing 23.2% year-on-year to 87,847 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Altima, Sentra, Pathfinder, Rogue and Nissan LEAF.
In Europe, sales declined 10.9% year-on-year to 43,728 units.
In China, sales increasing 3.2% year-on-year to 103,300 units, especially due to increasing direct for a Teana and Sylphy.
Sales in other regions decreased 5.9% year-on-year to 62,577 units.
3. Japan Exports
Nissan’s exports in Apr decreased 14.5% year-on-year to 45,010 units.
Exports to North America decreased 10.2% year-on-year to 29,242 units.
Exports to Europe decreased 4.5% year-on-year to 5,628 units.
