Nissan: Nissan searching for next TITAN-powered athlete to conquer the "TITAN of Texas Challenge"

DALLAS, Tex. – Do you have what it takes to be a TITAN? Nissan is searching for athletes to compete in the “Nissan TITAN of Texas Challenge” at the 2016 State Fair of Texas. The State Fair of Texas runs September 30 through October 23 at Fair Park in Dallas.

Designed by Adventure Solutions, the manufacturer and builder of ninja warrior courses, the TITAN of Texas Challenge is an intense course consisting of tough and rugged obstacles inspired by the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD. Participants will be put to the test against past contestants of the TV hit show “American Ninja Warrior” for their share of $65,800 in prizes with the overall winner earning $15,000. Contestants will strive to set the best time in six obstacles, including:

  • Mini Steps
  • Jumping Spider
  • Traverse Spinning Globes/Monkey Bars
  • Salmon Ladder
  • Ring Slider
  • Warped Wall

“The Nissan TITAN XD’s power, torque and ruggedness has been put to the test under real-world conditions and has proven it is tough enough to take on virtually every duty, every day,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’re excited to bring this TITAN-inspired challenge course to the Lone Star State to see the best–of-the-best athletes battle it out for the ‘Nissan TITAN of Texas’ title for the second year in a row.”

The challenge will take place inside the main gate every Wednesday through Sunday during the State Fair of Texas. Contestants register as an individual with the option to also join forces as a team of four (two women and two men required for all team entries). Registration is based on participation date and time and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately twelve (12) participants will be accepted for each time slot.

To register, visit TITANofTexasChallenge.com. No purchase is necessary and participants are subject to Official Rules.
