Nissan: SUPER GT star Daiki Sasaki dominates Fuji Formula 3 with dual wins

OYAMA, Japan – SUPER GT ace Daiki Sasaki dominated a weekend’s Japanese Formula 3 movement during Fuji with dual wins for a B-MAX Nissan Driver Development Program team.

Sasaki hold off teammate Jann Mardenborough in Saturday’s competition by a small 0.612 of a second and totally dominated on Sunday, scoring a win with a 2.644 second margin.

Mardenborough corroborated adult his runner-up mark on Saturday with fourth place in Sunday’s race. Katsumasa Chiyo scored fourth on Saturday though struck problems on Sunday to finish out of contention, 3 laps down.



“I’m really happy to be means to furnish good formula of dual wins,” pronounced Sasaki. “I fell behind a rivals during Suzuka, so we was dynamic to get forward of them this time. On Saturday we were means to uncover sum strength of a group by finishing 1-2 with my group partner Jann Mardenborough.”

Sasaki, Mardenborough and Chiyo now lay second, third and fifth in a points after a opening dual weekends in a championship.
