Porsche Delivered 13,400 New Vehicles to Customers in October

Great demand around the world for mid-engine Coupé Cayman

Stuttgart. Porsche is continuing the positive trend seen to date this year: The sportscar manufacturer delivered 13,393 vehicles to customers around the world in October of this year, achieving an increase of 14.6 percent compared with the same month last year. In keeping with the start of autumn, a particularly large number of customers who purchased a model with all-wheel drive could look forward to embarking on their first trips in their Porsche.

“We got off to a good start in quarter four and were able to continue our course for growth across all regions in October”, said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. “We are now looking forward to the world premieres of the Macan at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Panamera Turbo S at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Panamera Turbo S complements our range of sports saloons, enabling us to tailor our offering even more closely to the exclusive requirements of our customers.”

Porsche sportscars were in demand around the world in October 2013: In Germany, 1,792 new vehicles were delivered to customers; 42.9 percent more than in October 2012. The 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Boxster and Cayman sportscars also proved popular in the US market, with 3,562 models being sold (+11 %). In China, Porsche delivered 2,948 vehicles to customers, thereby achieving an increase of 20.9 percent compared with the same month last year.

The new Porsche Cayman delighted car fans around the world: In October, more than 1,000 customers could look forward to taking delivery of their two-seater sports Coupé. Almost 8,500 models have been handed over to customers so far this year. The Cayenne remains the frontrunner across the Porsche model range: Worldwide, the sportscar manufacturer delivered 6,990 of the sporty SUV vehicles in October 2013.
