Lausitzring (DE), 5th Jun 2016. BMW Motorsport leaves the
Lausitzring (DE) with a serve 25 hard-fought points to a name. BMW
and BMW Team RMG were means to keep their leads in a Manufacturers’
Championship and Team competition. Marco Wittmann (DE) is second in
a Drivers’ Championship after finishing fourth and sixth during the
3.478-kilometre circuit. In total, 4 BMW drivers scored points at

Spengler (CA) and Timo Glock (DE).

Read here what BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt, a 4 team
principals and a 8 BMW DTM drivers had to contend after a competition weekend.

Jens Marquardt (BMW Motorsport Director): “I consider we
put on a illusory uncover for a fans with this Motorsport Festival.
There was a lot going on out on a track, and we had unequivocally good crowds
in a stands. There was a genuine festival atmosphere. This corner event
with a DTM, ADAC GT Masters and SUPERBIKE*IDM was a good success.
Thank we to everybody who finished it possible. The Sunday competition was hard
work for us again. Marco Wittmann achieved a unequivocally good outcome with his
sixth place. The points scored by Bruno Spengler and Timo Glock were
also important. We knew we would onslaught on this track, yet still
came divided with some points. We will now spin a courtesy to a next
competition during a Norisring.”

Stefan Reinhold (Team Principal, BMW Team RMG): “We
put on a unequivocally good uncover this weekend – and a drivers did a
illusory job. we would like to contend a special appreciate we to our
engineers. They prepared meticulously for this weekend, and their hard
work paid off. It was a large success for us. As expected, a circuit
was a large challenge, yet we got something out of a weekend.”

Ernest Knoors (Team Principal, BMW Team MTEK):
“Firstly, we am usually gratified that a occurrence involving Augusto did
not have any critical consequences. That was unequivocally unequivocally dangerous. It
was a unsatisfactory weekend for us. We had problems environment a good
gait in qualifying. However, all indeed fell into place in
a competition itself. The array stop was glorious and a plan was good. We
usually need to start from serve adult a grid. That is what we will be
aiming for during a Norisring.”

Bart Mampaey (Team Principal, BMW Team RBM): “We
always knew that this would be a formidable weekend. We tried
everything. We unsuccessful to measure any points with Tom this weekend, and
usually succeeded with Maxime on Saturday. That is disappointing, yet we
positively schooled a lot. That will assistance us subsequent time.”

Charly Lamm (Team Principal, BMW Team Schnitzer):
“That was not a weekend. We will have to demeanour into accurately because that
was a case. We were lacking performance, and we need to find out why
quickly. If all does not tumble into place ideally in a DTM,
afterwards we find yourself fighting towards a behind of a field.”

Marco Wittmann (BMW Team RMG, Sun.: 6th place, Sat.: 4th
place):
“I feel unequivocally certain after this weekend. We knew
previously that we would not find it easy during a Lausitzring. With
this in mind, fourth and sixth are unequivocally good results. we scored
critical points, and so finished a many of a opportunities.
Unfortunately, my start was something of a disaster in Sunday’s race.
we got divided unequivocally badly. However, we fought behind unequivocally good after that,
and was a fastest BMW motorist in a race.”

Bruno Spengler (BMW Team MTEK, Sun.: 9th place, Sat.: 11th
place):
“This weekend had certain and disastrous aspects for
us. Unfortunately, we did not conduct to be discerning in qualifying, yet I
generally had a unequivocally good vehicle over a competition distance. As we started
from good down a field, it was unfit to measure some-more points. As
distant as competition gait is concerned, we were usually as discerning as a leading
group. My guys did a good array stop today. A large appreciate we for that.”

Timo Glock (BMW Team RMG, Sun.: 10th place, Sat.: 12th place):
“I was unequivocally happy with third place in subordinate this
morning. We had taken another step brazen and determined a good
starting position for a race. Unfortunately, however, we couldn’t
get anything going with a second set of tyres. we was fighting a
losing battle. we had to let one vehicle after another through, and that
was that.”

Tom Blomqvist (BMW Team RBM, Sun.: 11th place, Sat.: 22nd
place):
“It was a formidable weekend. This time, we did not
have a required gait over a competition distance. Yesterday’s competition was
tough. Today was better, yet we don’t consider we could have finished a lot
more. we had problems with my tyres in my initial stint. It was better
after a array stop, yet by afterwards it was too late.”

António Félix da Costa (BMW Team Schnitzer, Sun.: 13th place,
Sat.: 15th place):
“On a whole, we were simply not fast
enough. The vehicle did not feel as yet we could pull all weekend.
Despite this, we did a unequivocally best, as anything is probable in the
DTM. We will learn from this, and continue to work hard.”

Maxime Martin (BMW Team RBM, Sun.: 14th place, Sat.: 9th
place):
“That was not indispensably a best weekend. It was
fine on a drifting path in qualifying, yet we struggled over a race
distance. we scored dual points yesterday, yet nothing today. we am not
happy with that, yet that is partial and parcel of racing sometimes.”

Martin Tomczyk (BMW Team Schnitzer, Sun.: 18th place, Sat.:
DNF):
“I contingency forget about this weekend quickly. However, I
am still unsettled by today’s qualifying. That was unequivocally disappointing.
Despite that, we apparently still wanted to get a best out of the
race. The conflict with Mike Rockenfeller was good and fair, yet there
was no longer anything during stake. All we can contend to that is: move on
a Norisring.”

Augusto Farfus (BMW Team MTEK, Sun.: DNF, Sat.: 21st place):
“I shielded my position and consider Miguel Molina completely
forgot to brake. He rammed me, and that was a finish of my race. We
never found a right change for a vehicle this weekend. Despite this,
everybody in a group worked unequivocally hard. We will quarrel behind during a Norisring.”
