Simon Thomas to lead Marketing during Volkswagen Group and Volkswagen Passenger Cars code effective Sep 1, 2013

Simon Thomas (53) is to lead Marketing during a Volkswagen Group and a Volkswagen Passenger Cars code effective Sep 1, 2013. He succeeds Jürgen Stackmann (51), who was allocated Chairman of SEAT S.A. effective May 1, 2013. In his new duty Thomas reports to Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for a Volkswagen Group and a Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand.

Following a 4 year tutelage and gift in 1980 as an automotive technician, Simon Thomas changed to a Austin Rover Group in 1985 as a technical advisor, after that he afterwards worked in service, sales and swift field-based roles. In 1991, Thomas changed to Nissan GB, where he became Marketing Director and afterwards Sales Director. After that, he took shortcoming for sales and selling in Canada for Nissan and Infiniti. In 2007, Thomas returned to Europe as Vice President of Sales for Nissan Europe formed in France. In 2008, Thomas became Nissan Europe’s Senior Vice President formed in Switzerland. He assimilated a Volkswagen Group in 2011 as Managing Director of Volkswagen Group UK.

Jürgen Stackmann competent as a bank clerk and binds a grade in business administration. He assimilated a Volkswagen Group in 2010, presumption shortcoming for Sales and Marketing during ŠKODA Auto a.s. He was allocated Chairman of SEAT S.A. effective May 1, 2013. Stackmann began his veteran career with Ford in 1989, where he hold several responsibilities in Sales and Marketing, latterly as General Manager Sales and Marketing for German plants.
