Oshawa, Ontario (July 2, 2015) —   Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 24,226 vehicles in June 2015, an increase of 15 per cent from June 2014 and sales of the Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado and GMC Canyon and Sierra led the industry pickup segment.  Retail deliveries climbed 20 per cent year over year.

The drivers of GM’s growth were gains across all four of GM’s Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands. In fact, Canada is Cadillac’s third biggest market in the world and it is the second fastest growing after China. The brand’s total sales increased 13 per cent for the month and are up 11 per cent for the year.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “We are pleased that our market share is growing in Canada.  In June, we continued to see resilience in Canadian consumer auto purchases, with particular strength in the western provinces as customers continued to drive especially strong purchases of the Chevrolet Trax, Equinox and Silverado, Buick Encore and Enclave, GMC Terrain and Sierra and Cadillac SRX.”

The integration of 4G LTE technology on more than 30 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles is driving customer interest in our products.  With mobile data speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G, customers are showing great interest in the ability of GM vehicles to act as Wi-Fi hot spots, allowing customers to connect up to seven different devices.
