In the 3,000 soul community of Sölden, the Unimog snowploughs are clearing the streets. The morning sun is gradually climbing over the peaks of the “BIG 3”. That’s what the three-thousanders, Gaislachkogl (3,058 metres), Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 metres) and Schwarze Schneide (3,340 metres) are called here in the Austrian Ötztal Alps.
