The new 2018 Ford F-150 is smarter, tougher and more capable than ever

Smarter. Tougher. More capable. Ford raises the bar again with more of the great stuff that makes F-150 Canada’s undisputed leader in trucks, hands down.

Ford Motor Company debuted the new 2018 Ford F-150 in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show, boasting a host of new technology and new ways to own work. Ford trucks go further, and the 2018 F-150 provides new and exciting ways to do just that.

Bold visual overhaul

It starts with the look. The F-150 features a tougher look, with new grilles, bumpers and headlamps creating a visually wider stance. Six all-new wheel designs between 17 inches and 22 inches continue the style overhaul. There are two new seating trim colours: “Dark Marsala” at the Platinum trim level and the F-150 Limited offering the new “Navy Pier” environment.

The latest tech, smarter than ever

But while it’s always important to have a truck that turns heads, smart technology and overall capability is what separates the F-150 from the competition.

From available segment-first and class-exclusive technologies like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, and Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, to the available new BO PLAY audio system, your next F-150 is a state of the art machine. It’s also the first full-size pickup to add automatic start/stop as standard equipment on all models and engines.

Under the hood upgrades

But Ford trucks truly live to work, and the 2018 F-150 will work harder and more efficiently than ever, extending its performance leadership with “the most advanced F-150 engine lineup ever.”

A all-new 3.3L V6 engine comes standard, with direct-injection for increased efficiency, expected to deliver the 282 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque from the previous model’s standard 3.5L V6.

An all-new second generation 2.7L EcoBoost engine checks in with improved levels of output, efficiency, quality and durability. This new EcoBoost engine pairs with the segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission, as does the 3.5L EcoBoost.

But wait, there’s more. An all-new 3.0L Power Stroke diesel engine is also paired with the all-new 10-speed automatic transmission! That’s right. The first ever F-150 diesel engine comes complete with the best new engineering to deliver unbeatable performance.

We couldn’t forget the big one – the improved 5.0L V8, paired with the all-new 10-speed automatic transmission for the first time, also features increased power and torque.
