OSHAWA (Tuesday, January 22, 2019) — The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 has been awarded the 2019 Convenience Innovation Award from ALG for its MultiPro Tailgate, an award given to vehicles with thoughtful features that go above and beyond to enhance the mobility experience.

“We are honoured to be recognized by ALG for the MultiPro Tailgate, our most innovative pickup tailgate yet,” said Michael MacPhee, brand director for Buick and GMC in Canada. “With proven strength and durability, this feature has established the 2019 Sierra as a game-changer both in functionality and for GMC.”

The 2019 GMC Sierra is the first and only model to offer the MultiPro Tailgate, providing premium trucks with the ultimate flexibility. Six unique positions and functions offer enhanced second-tier loading, load-stop solutions and even a standing workstation. Fully deployed, it also serves as a staircase for easy access into the truck bed. The MultiPro tailgate offers strength and durability, having undergone more testing and validation than any other tailgate in GM’s history.

The MultiPro Tailgate is available on 2019 Sierra Denali, Sierra AT4 and Sierra SLT models.

For over 50 years, ALG has been the industry standard for projecting future residual values and depreciation data. ALG uses market insights, industry expertise and leading analytics to become the benchmark for forecasting vehicle values.
