Audi congratulates winner of German Open

  • Audi A5 Cabriolet for Anne-Lise Caudal in first place
  • Automobile manufacturer is tournament’s Presenting Sponsor for the fifth time
  • 35,200 visitors experience highlights galore on and off the green

The 2012 Ladies German Open has a deserving winner. 27-year-old Anne-Lise Caudal won the golf tournament with prize money in the amount of the € 350,000.00 on Sunday and receives an Audi A5 Cabriolet in addition. Audi was Presenting Sponsor at Gut Häusern for the fifth time and featured on and off the green with numerous activities for the female golf pros and visitors.

The audience watched Anne-Lise Caudal on her way to clinching victory at the tournament. She prevailed against 125 players from around the world. She will be going home to France in an A5 Cabriolet, her prize for taking first place. As another special prize – the “hole-in-one” award at Hole 15 – Audi had offered an R8 Spyder valued at more than €160,000.00. The car will remain in Ingolstadt, though, as yet again, in the tournament’s fifth year, none of the participants managed the feat of playing the ball into the hole with one strike.

Audi has been Presenting Sponsor and vehicle partner of the Ladies German Open since the tournament’s inaugural event. The visit of the Ladies European Tour (LET) is Germany’s most important golf tournament for ladies. It has acquired high national and international prestige within a very short time and in 2012 again saw high-caliber participants. In addition to the prizes and provision of 30 vehicles for the shuttle fleet, Audi offered insights into its model range at Gut Häusern, offered test drives and entertained the visitors at its own golf terminal with daily interview sessions. On Tuesday, Audi had rung in the tournament week by handing over ten Audi A5 Cabriolets to selected female golf pros.
