Awards for Audi in May 2014

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg recognized with the VdM “Golden Diesel Ring”
The German Association of Motoring Journalists (VdM) today presented Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi Board Member for Technical Development and head of cross‑brand Research Development for the Volkswagen Group, with its “Golden Diesel Ring” (Goldener Dieselring). The VdM accolade recognizes Hackenberg’s contribution to road safety. The honor was presented during the AMI auto show in Leipzig. (May 30, 2014)

“L.E.A.D.E.R. Award” for Audi City
Automotive News Europe and the Automotive Intelligence Center Bilbao have presented Audi with the “L.E.A.D.E.R. Award” 2014 in recognition of its innovative showroom concept, Audi City. In particular, the jury praised how Audi addresses young and technology-minded customers in a manner appropriate to the target group. The “L.E.A.D.E.R. Award” is presented annually to “Leaders in European Automotive Development, Excellence and Research.” (June 4, 2014)

“Automobilwoche Dealership Award”: Double victory for Audi
Outstanding advice at Audi: The brand with the four rings secured a double victory at this year’s official ceremony for the “Automobilwoche Dealership Award” (AAA). Audi received the renowned industry prize at Auto Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig, coming top in two categories: best dealership advice and financial services. A mystery shopping study evaluated sales consultations at around 800 dealerships representing a total of 16 automotive brands. Securing top spot for the mystery shoppers this year were the Audi A1 in the small car category and the Audi A3* in the compact class. (May 30, 2014)

Audi wins the “German Prize for Ideas”
Audi has garnered an accolade from the German Institute of Business Management for the eleventh time. The company received the prize for the best ideas management system in the automotive industry. The evaluation focused on employees’ ideas for improvements as well as the realization and participation ratio. (May 20, 2014)

Multiple prizes for Audi during the “ADC Awards”
Audi received a total of 14 prizes during the “ADC Awards” presented by the Art Directors Club Germany. The carmaker impressed the judges in several categories on the strength of projects such as the 2013 IAA exhibition concept, the Audi Test Drive Cube and the “land of quattro” campaign. “Fleet Car Award” for the Audi A3 Sedan in Ireland
Audi has received the “Fleet Car Award” from Fleet Car, an Irish magazine. The Audi A3 Sedan beat its competitors in the compact segment to secure the accolade. (May 15, 2014)

Audi’s concept captivates the judges at careers fairs
“Audi up close and personal” is the concept behind AUDI AG’s attendance at around 50 careers fairs each year. It won over the jury panel for the “trendence Awards 2014,” with the judges voting Audi to first place in the category “Best Trade Fair Appearance 2014.” The panel was particularly impressed by Audi’s authenticity and personal contact with potential applicants. Best cars in Mexico: Audi A1*, Audi A7*/S7* and Audi Q5* lead the field
In May, Mexican magazine Automóvil Panamericano revealed the winners of the “Best Car Award.” Readers voted Audi to no less than three top places: In the full‑size category, the Audi A7 and the S7 led the field, as did the Audi Q5 among SUVs and the Audi A1 in the small car class. (May 9, 2014)

Audi TT* wins reader poll conducted by the Heilbronner Stimme
Attracting 23.6 percent of all votes, the new Audi TT was voted “Car of the Year” in the Heilbronn‑Franken region. That was the verdict of Heilbronner Stimme readers. (May 3, 2014)

Number one in Italy: Audi subsidiary Lamborghini is the most popular employer
The Audi Group is more popular than ever as an employer. Audi subsidiary Automobili Lamborghini took first place today in the prestigious Italian “Employer of Choice” rankings, ahead of Vodafone and Ferrari. (May 2, 2014)

“Car of the Year” in Russia: Audi wins a “Lovemark Award”
For the third year in succession, more than one million Russian automobile owners voted for Audi as “Lovemark” of the year in conjunction with the “Car of the Year Award.” The Audi A3 Sedan*, the Audi A6* and the Audi R8 Spyder* also celebrated success: They were all the best car in their respective categories.
