Chevrolet Impala and Corvette Stingray Win Auto123.com Awards

TORONTO (Wednesday, November 27, 2013) – Chevrolet was honoured today with the recognition of two of its most iconic vehicles, the Impala and Corvette Stingray, as “Car of the Year” in their respective categories by Auto123.com. The all-new Chevrolet Impala was named the “2014 Full-Size Car of the Year” and the Corvette Stingray the “2014 Sports Car of the Year.”

The Auto123.com Awards consist of a judging panel of voting journalists cumulating their scores in each of the 20 vehicle categories. These were the 5th annual awards presented in Toronto, Ontario.
The 2014 Impala is all-new from the ground up, with a muscular, timeless design that embraces Chevrolet’s modern styling. It represents the 10th generation of one of the industry’s most enduring and popular nameplates.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard Corvette model ever, with an estimated 455 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. It is also the most capable standard Corvette model ever, able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than four seconds and achieve more than 1g in cornering grip.
