Meet Tara Craigen, an Engineering Group Manager for the Lateral Controls, Adaptive Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous team at CTC Markham Campus. Tara’s team is responsible for designing the software that keeps a vehicle in-between lane markings on the road. This technology is used in Lane Keep Assist and Super Cruise – which is the first true hands-free driving technology used for the freeway.
She says the best part of her job is knowing that she and her team are actively progressing towards a fully autonomous future, and helping to make the dream of self-driving cars a reality. There is not a single day throughout Tara’s 19-year career at GM Canada where she hasn’t learned something new!
